Terms of Service

1. What Kin-Tikki is

Kin-Tikki is a peer-support community where verified healthcare professionals can talk honestly, under an alias, about the pressures of clinical work. Its features include:

• The Wall: an open space where verified members can post at any time.
• Circles: text groups on a topic or specialty. Members can join an open Circle or start one. A Circle stays open for one week.
• Journal: a space for your own reflections. Journal entries are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers.

During the current free pilot, membership is limited to physicians and dentists.

2. Not medical care and not for emergencies

Kin-Tikki is peer support. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a crisis service. Nothing on the Service is professional advice, and using it does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship with Lansoft or with any member. Members who are clinicians are taking part as peers, not as your treating providers.

We do not monitor posts in real time. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US). In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

3. Eligibility and verification

To use the Service you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• during the pilot, be a currently licensed physician or dentist in the United States;
• pass our verification, which checks your National Provider Identifier (NPI) and name against the federal NPPES registry; and
• give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Our checks confirm an active NPI record, not that your state license is active. By creating an account, you confirm that it is, and you agree to tell us if it lapses, is suspended, or is revoked.

You may hold only one account. Keep your login details secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may refuse or remove access if we cannot verify you or if your license status changes.

4. Aliases and anonymity

Other members see you only by your alias. We do not show them your name, email address, or NPI. However, anonymity has limits. Other members may recognize you from details you share, such as your workplace, specialty, location, or a particular case. Your alias stays linked to your account and login email, and in limited situations we may be legally required to disclose information, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Share with that in mind.

5. Community rules

You agree not to:

• post anything that identifies a patient, including names, dates, images, record numbers, or details that would let someone work out who the patient is;
• post confidential information belonging to your employer or anyone else;
• copy, screenshot, or share other members' posts outside Kin-Tikki, or try to identify another member behind their alias;
• harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against anyone;
• encourage or give instructions for self-harm or suicide;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your credentials;
• advertise, sell, or recruit, except through features we provide for that purpose;
• post illegal, sexually explicit, or infringing content; or
• use bots or scrapers, or interfere with the Service or its security.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post ("Your Content"). You give Lansoft a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. We do not sell Your Content. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

7. Moderation, reports, and safety

You can report any post or member using the report option in the app, or by emailing info@kintikki.com. Our team reviews reports within 24 hours. We may hide content, limit features, or suspend accounts that break these Terms. We are not obliged to review all content.

If we become aware of content suggesting that someone may be at risk of harm, we may show crisis resources. [Whether Kin-Tikki will contact emergency services where there is an imminent threat to life — TO BE DECIDED WITH COUNSEL.]

8. Fees

The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you choose them.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, name, and logo, belongs to Lansoft and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of it, except as the law allows.

10. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time from My alias in the app, or by emailing info@kintikki.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we cannot verify your eligibility, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we will give notice. Sections 6, 9, and 12 through 17 continue after your account ends.

11. Changes to the Service

The Service is in a pilot stage and will change. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LANSOFT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT POSTED BY MEMBERS IS ACCURATE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LANSOFT AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES HARM CAUSED BY THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF OTHER MEMBERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN FULL.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lansoft and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least [30] days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at info@kintikki.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in [Delaware / Maricopa County, Arizona — TO BE CHOSEN WITH COUNSEL], and you and Lansoft consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

17. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Lansoft about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
