Clinician Participant Agreement & Code of Conduct
Every verified member signs this before entering Kin-Tikki. By using Kin-Tikki you agree to each point below.
1. No names or personal identifiers
I will not post real names, initials, nicknames or titles with names (for example "Dr. S") of any patient, family member, colleague, nurse, trainee, supervisor, administrator or staff member, or describe a situation in a way that could identify them.
2. No hospitals, employers or workplaces
I will not name or describe the hospital, health system, clinic, practice, medical group, university, residency program or town where I work or where an event happened. Kin-Tikki is for personal reflection, not for complaints about specific institutions.
3. No patient health information
I will not share medical records, dates, room or bed numbers, rare diagnoses, images or case details that could identify a patient. Kin-Tikki is not a medical records system and may remove such content without notice.
4. Respect, always
I will treat every member with respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, insults, discrimination, sexual content, spam or encouraging self-harm may lead to immediate and permanent removal.
5. Confidentiality
I will not screenshot, copy, download, quote or share outside Kin-Tikki anything another member writes, or reveal any member's alias.
6. Peer support only — my responsibility
Kin-Tikki is support between colleagues. It is not medical care, therapy, supervision or crisis care. I am responsible for what I post, and I agree to hold Kin-Tikki harmless for content I submit, as set out in the terms of use.
7. Not monitored — emergencies go elsewhere
Kin-Tikki is not watched around the clock and cannot send help. If I am in danger I will call or text 988 (US), the Physician Support Line at 1-888-409-0141, or my local emergency number.
8. I understand the limits
An alias lowers the chance of being recognised but is not complete anonymity. Wall posts and circles fade after 7 days. My journal stays only on my device.
Full details are in the terms of use. If you need help now, see support options.
